Let’s continue Amazon Virtual Assistant Part 3
Amazon Virtual Assistant Course Part 3
The company was registered under the name Fulgo, and an email was created with fulgo.com. This is because emails sent from Gmail often end up in spam. You need to work very professionally.
I will show you the entire conversation, but I need to share my screen for that.
First, I emailed this brand. Then, I took out my phone. You can work in both ways—either by emailing or calling—if your English is good.
It’s not necessary to have a perfect English accent. Also, you don’t need to create a foreign-sounding name. You can work with your real name, and it doesn’t matter to them whether your name is James, Thomas, Peter, or Farhan. You can create an email with your real name and use that for communication.
Now, in this email, you can see I wrote to Grace yesterday.
Before this, I had a phone call with them. Since I was in Pakistan, I used a local number from their country. You can use mobile applications like Dingtone or TextNow, which allow you to get a virtual number from the UK, Germany, or any other country worldwide.
So, first, I had a phone conversation with them. My English accent wasn’t foreign-sounding, which was a mistake on my part. However, these companies are professional; they still entertain your request, and we successfully worked with them.
In my email, I wrote:
“Yesterday, we had a call. We are an eCommerce store and are interested in selling your products. We want to purchase in bulk. Kindly advise the minimum order quantity. Also, could you send me the CIF file of your product line? We are looking for a long-term partnership. Thank you in advance.”
Their response was:
**”Thank you for reaching out. To open an account with us, please provide the following information:
- What is your business model? Do you do online sales, in-store sales, or both?
- Can you provide a link to your website so we can review it?
- Do you distribute products within the UK or worldwide?
- Please also provide your company registration details.”**
Now, James (my alias) replied to their questions accordingly.
I replied only to the point and very concisely.
Here’s how I answered their questions:
- Categories of products: Women, Kitchen, Garden, Home & Outdoor, DIY Tools, and Clothing.
- Sales channel: Only online (website).
Now, the brand sent me their pricing list. They also mentioned that the products are only to be sold in the UK market and that the filters are designed for UK water conditions, etc.
After receiving their price list, I responded:
- “Interesting photos. Please give me the best price for this bulk quantity. Thank you.”
Again, I want to repeat that the key to success is brand communication.
If you prefer calling, you can do that as well. There are many ways to do it. You can use mobile applications like Dingtone or TextNow to get a local number. I will demonstrate this on mobile in another video.
So, this is how you communicate with brands.
In the next video, I will show you how to find wholesalers and distributors for specific products. Right now, we are contacting brands directly, but sometimes brands will redirect you to their authorized distributors.
If the price you get from the brand is too high, you can search for their authorized distributors on Google and negotiate with them. How to find these distributors will be covered in the next video.
Many trainers and mentors will tell you not to work with big brands, but my question is—why not?
If the world is doing business with big brands, then why can’t we?
Instead of working with small brands, we can find large wholesalers and distributors who already sell top-tier brands. The benefit of this is:
- They have thousands of products that we can sell on Amazon.
- Many of these products are already in demand on Amazon.
- We can easily buy from wholesalers and start selling them.
This is how wholesale eCommerce works!
Once you identify the right products, the next step is to find wholesalers and distributors who already stock a wide range of products that are performing well on Amazon.
For example, there are 15,000+ active sellers dealing with trending products.
How to Find Distributors & Wholesalers:
- Google Search
- Use Google to find wholesalers and authorized distributors of the products you’re interested in.
- Search for terms like:
- “[Brand Name] authorized distributor”
- “[Brand Name] wholesale supplier”
- “[Product Category] bulk supplier”
- Check B2B Websites
- Websites like GlobalSources.com, Alibaba, and DHgate have bulk suppliers with UPC codes, cost per unit, and full product details.
- Example: If you search for balcony wholesale suppliers, you will find multiple sellers providing detailed pricing information.
- Find Products Already Selling on Amazon
- Look at the top-selling brands in grocery, kitchen, tools, and clothing categories.
- Many of these brands have official distributors, which you can contact directly.
- Take Advantage of Distributor Directories
- Websites listing official distributors often include:
- Company name
- Website
- Contact number
- Websites listing official distributors often include:
- Example: Finding 3M Distributors
- 3M is a high-demand brand on Amazon.
- You can search for “3M authorized distributors” and get a list of wholesalers.
- Screenshot the details for future reference.
Why Use Wholesalers Instead of Buying Directly from Brands?
✅ Access to multiple brands – Wholesalers stock products from various major brands.
✅ Lower MOQs (Minimum Order Quantities) – Brands often require large orders, but wholesalers allow smaller purchases.
✅ Faster access to trending products – Wholesalers already have proven Amazon best-sellers.
By following these steps, you can source high-quality products for resale on Amazon, eBay, and other platforms without needing direct brand approvals.
How Amazon FBA Wholesale Works & Finding Authorized Distributors
1️⃣ How Amazon Handles Deliveries
- 90% of wholesalers do not deliver directly to Amazon.
- Instead, products first go to an Amazon prep center before reaching Amazon fulfillment centers.
- Sellers must label the products before sending them. (I will explain label creation in a future video when we discuss listing products).
- Prep centers charge fees for labeling and repackaging before sending products to Amazon warehouses.
2️⃣ How to Verify if a Distributor is Authentic
To check whether a wholesaler or distributor is legitimate:
- Google their business name
- Check their website, contact details, and business information.
- Ask the brand directly if the distributor is authorized.
- Example: Email the brand and ask, “Is [Distributor Name] an authorized wholesaler of your products?”
- If they confirm, it means the distributor is authentic.
- If they deny it, avoid doing business with them.
✅ Pro Tip: If a distributor is authorized for one brand, they are likely authorized for other major brands too.
3️⃣ The Power of Working with Distributors
Once you find a reliable distributor, you can:
- Access thousands of products (not just from one brand).
- Discover new trending products that already have high demand.
- Increase your profit margins by sourcing at lower costs.
Many successful Amazon FBA sellers use this method to source products from distributors instead of directly from brands.
4️⃣ Next Step: Finding Deals & Limited-Time Discounts
- Some websites offer 50% to 70% discounts on selected products.
- These limited-time deals allow you to buy at lower costs and resell on Amazon.
- You must act quickly since these deals expire fast.
✅ Pro Tip: Before buying, always check the product’s Amazon sales history to ensure it is selling well.
In the next video, I will explain how to track product sales & how to source discounted products for Amazon FBA.
This text discusses sourcing and selling products on Amazon using online arbitrage. It mentions that manually searching for products on Amazon is time-consuming and expensive, which is why using platforms like SourceMobile.com can be beneficial. The website provides a free trial and allows users to search for wholesale and distributor deals.
The process involves:
- Signing up for a seller account – Connecting it to the platform.
- Searching for profitable products – Filtering products based on category and price.
- Analyzing product demand – Checking sales rank (BSR) and competition.
- Comparing costs – Ensuring a good profit margin by calculating total costs, including Amazon FBA fees.
- Validating restrictions – Ensuring Amazon allows the product to be sold without restrictions.
The document also highlights Fly.com as another useful website for sourcing products. It emphasizes checking product rankings, buying box prices, and calculating profits manually using Amazon’s Seller Central FBA revenue calculator.
Additionally, it explains that Walmart can be used for sourcing since many sellers engage in Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) by sending inventory directly to Amazon’s warehouse. However, sellers should manually verify all cost calculations, as third-party tools may not always be accurate.
The text concludes that online arbitrage is a profitable model, but it requires effort, time, and patience to find good deals. Consistently researching and analyzing products can help maximize earnings in this business.
This text discusses the difference between wholesale, online arbitrage, and dropshipping on Amazon. It explains the process of sourcing, listing, and selling products and highlights the key differences between each model.
Wholesale & Online Arbitrage
- Sourcing from wholesalers & distributors
- Communicate with wholesalers and distributors to purchase inventory.
- The products can either be sent to Amazon’s FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) warehouse or FBM (Fulfillment by Merchant) where the seller handles shipping.
- Online Arbitrage Process
- Identify limited-time deals (daily, weekly, or short-term discounts).
- Purchase a limited quantity of inventory (e.g., 15, 20, or even 100+ units).
- Send inventory to Amazon’s warehouse (FBA) or self-fulfill (FBM).
- Sell at a higher price to make a profit before the deal expires.
- This model requires quick decision-making to grab the best deals.
Dropshipping on Amazon
- Difference from Wholesale & Arbitrage
- In dropshipping, the seller does not purchase inventory upfront.
- Instead of buying in bulk, they list products first on Amazon.
- When a customer places an order, the seller buys the product from a supplier and ships it directly to the customer.
- How it Works
- Find a profitable product and list it on Amazon without purchasing inventory.
- When a customer orders the product, buy it from a distributor or supplier.
- Ship the product directly to the customer (FBM – Fulfilled by Merchant).
- Risks in Dropshipping
- Packaging issues: If the supplier ships with their branded packaging, customers may complain.
- Delivery time differences: Amazon customers expect fast shipping, but dropshipping may take 3-4 days or longer.
- Amazon’s strict policies: Amazon does not allow dropshipping from other marketplaces (e.g., Walmart, eBay). If a product is bought from Walmart and sent to an Amazon customer, the order might violate Amazon’s policies.
- Solution – Using a Prep Center
- A prep center can receive and repackage products before shipping them to customers.
- This prevents supplier branding from appearing on the package.
- It ensures compliance with Amazon’s policies and reduces complaints.
Conclusion
- Wholesale & Arbitrage: Requires inventory investment, but is safer and scalable.
- Dropshipping: No upfront inventory cost but higher risks (packaging & policy violations).
- Sellers must ensure Amazon compliance and use prep centers if necessary.
Avoiding Amazon Account Suspension & Product Research Tips
1. Packaging Issues & Account Suspension
- If you are dropshipping, the supplier’s packaging should not reach the customer.
- If a customer receives an order in supplier-branded packaging (e.g., Walmart, another marketplace, or distributor branding), they may complain.
- Amazon has strict policies against dropshipping from other marketplaces.
- Solution:
- Use a prep center to repackage items in plain packaging before shipping to the customer.
- This helps maintain compliance and prevents account suspension.
2. Product Research Using Keepa & Filters
- Keepa is essential for product research.
- It helps track price history, sales trends, and whether Amazon goes out of stock on certain items.
Basic Research Strategy
- Set Keepa filters (e.g., Best Seller Rank under 120,000).
- Amazon Stock Tracking:
- Avoid products where Amazon is consistently in stock, as they dominate the Buy Box.
- If Amazon frequently goes out of stock, that’s an opportunity for third-party sellers.
- Buy Box Strategy:
- If a product has a high Buy Box rotation, multiple sellers get sales, making it a good option.
Final Tips
- Use plain packaging if doing dropshipping.
- Use Keepa to analyze price trends and Amazon’s stock availability.
- Choose products where Amazon goes out of stock often to increase your chances of winning the Buy Box.
- Avoid dropshipping directly from retail marketplaces (e.g., Walmart, eBay, etc.) to prevent Amazon policy violations.
